The EMRC writes the rules and the distribution company for the governorate — JEPCO, IDECO or EDCO — approves the connection. A 2024 bylaw moved new rooftop systems off classic net metering onto net billing, with connection mechanisms that differ by consumption band, and the effect on sizing is direct: exported surplus is now worth less than energy used on site, so systems are specified with storage rather than for maximum export. We ship from Dubai with the datasheets and conformity documents that the connection file and the customs entry both ask for.
